Just as well though, because nothing exciting really happened. I had my morning class and was so totally exhausted afterward that I headed back to my dorm to take a nap.
My friend/roommate Rachel and I went into town after my nap and bought Wurst off the street, which were amazing. Then I met up with my friends Emily and Mitch and we went to our film class together. Last night I cooked my first frozen pizza for dinner. It was just as you would imagine it to taste, not so fantastisch.
Today was spent in the same fashion as yesterday with class in the morning, wandering around aimlessly all afternoon, and then my film class at 4:30.
I feel like a grown up now because all my money is spent on boring things like toilet paper, rent, groceries, and today I had to buy a tupperware so I could pack myself little sandwiches for school, since I am always starving. I found a little jar of peanut butter with an American flag on it, and some of the whitest bread you've ever seen, also with an American flag logo. Am I a stereotype or what? It also doesn't help when ambulances turn their sirens on on the street and I scream in horror. Oh God.
I have officially been in Freiburg for 1 week but it seems like months. Here is an updated list of things I miss the most (in order):
- My hair dryer that works for more than 5 min at a time, and my straightener that gets hotter than like, 90 degrees
- Dining Halls with free buffet
- My cell phone with seemingly unlimited minutes and texts (none of this 5 cents a min for calls, 19 cents per text business)
- Clean clothes
- My Love Shack Perfume from the Gap
- My Toyta Camry
